Recrean Sportcentrum 'Squash Club of the Year 2007’
In May, at the annual ‘Night of the Squash’ in Herentals, Recrean Sportcentrum was crowned ‘Squash Club of the Year’ for 2006/7. The award came after all adult and junior tournament, interclub and Beker van Vlaanderen results were compared from all of Flanders.
Recrean were winners of the Beker Competition – Mixed and Runners – Up in the Mens event. In addition, the Ladies Eredivisie team finished 3rd, while the Mens team finished 4th. The Mens over 35 team were Belgian Champions and Junior tournament results were also very strong, together with the rest of the interclub teams results.
The manager, Jan Vercammen, coach, Mark Burke and committee member, Lode Gevaert were on hand to receive the €750 winners cheque.
